From IMDb:  "Ginger Rogers is a convict released from state penitentiary for a Christmas leave. On the train, she meets Sergeant Joseph Cotton who has been released from a mental hospital and she invites him home for dinner."  With Shirley Temple.  Sounds bizarre.

Gotta love Tallulah Bankhead!
Trivia from IMDb:  During filming, several of the crew members noted that actress Tallulah Bankhead was not wearing underwear. When advised of this situation, director Alfred Hitchcock observed, "I don't know if this is a matter for the costume department, makeup, or hairdressing."

Our Hearts Were Young and Gay (1944) - If ever there was a 1940s equivalent of today's teen comedies, this was it! Featuring endearing performances by the adorable Diana Lynn and Gail Russell as naive young girls who travel to Europe on a cruise ship in 1923, the film is based on the real-life experiences of Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough. Great supporting performances by Charles Ruggles, Dorothy Gish, Beulah Bondi and others. (from freemoviesondvd.com)
