How could we not include this one? It has our very own Melinda, at her most beautiful, in a key role, and enshrines one of my very favorite film performances, that of the marvellous Marion Eaton as kooky Gert Hammond.

This is one of my favourite films from Québec. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything about it except the imdb entry.

The vultures are a reference to those people who swoop down to grab what they can after the death of a relative. In this case the deceased is the mother of a young man and the story is about how he has to deal with his greedy relatives. It's a beautiful b&w drama that is sadly not available on DVD.
