Album from Jack Ascending climb is on FindingBrokeback
« on: April 07, 2008, 02:01:56 pm »
Again, I am just going to announce this here and then let the thread work its way down the page.

Go to http://www.findingbrokeback.com and click on Albums on the left hand side. We had 73 photos that we narrowed down to 50 that will give you all a really good idea of the kind of view that Jack had when he was up there with those sheep.  ;)

You can even see "Gonna Snow" Lake from up there! (I wish I had known that at the time.)

Tamarack, I've just been there. You did an awesome job!!!

You really captured the atmosphere and the essence of the day. I am out of breath just thinking of it -  the gradients, the fear, the excitement and the beauty  - and then the crushing disappointment when we thought that after all that, we had climbed the WRONG mountain :D

Thank you for this super 'report' on a scramble we should never have attempted  ;D

Wow, you really were "looking down on the hawk's back", "suspended above ordinary affairs".

Breath-taking!

:laugh:Oh. My, Gawd, I have turned into my father!

This is the spot where I took my screen saver picture, so cool to know the names of the mountains now.

Tamarack, I've just been there. You did an awesome job!!!

The "You" in "You did an awesome job!!!" is the collective "You," and you were a part of it, Mouk. This was certainly not my effort alone, as I'm sure you know.

They really are great pictures, aren't they?!

I bet your father was never up there!

(I'm glad to know what your screensaver looks like; I've been wondering. We can all thank Bob (nova20194) for the names of the mountains.)
