Heath and Jake
« on: April 26, 2008, 08:57:47 pm »
Hello guys. I'm new here at this site and I just have to say that it's wonderful. I love the atmosphere. It seems so calm and soothing. I love the beautiful landscapes of Wyoming. I always love out in the country type of area. I live in Arkansas and I know a lot about it. I should've came here a long time ago! I love BBM and I've been obessed with it ever since it came out. It's one of the most talked about movies of all time.

The characters, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, were very well played by the two most talented and hot actors I've ever seen, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. You know, I always knew that those guys always had something special between them. Not in the way like Ennis and Jack had, you know. But, you could just look at those two together and could tell that they have such beautiful chemistry. Every time I see them, whether it's onscreen, offscreen, in the photos they are in together, etc., they glow together.
It was said that they have more chemistry than anyone else like some of their other co stars and girlfriends/exs.
I don't know about that but it's certainly obvious that they're a great team.
You know, it's been speculated that Heath and Jake were/are friends before, during, and after(meaning all this time). But, 'bestfriends'? Well, that's hard to comprehend. They each have lots of close, best friends...but eachother? I think so.

Do you guys have any ideas and thoughts? Feel free talk. :)

Welcome to BetterMost, Gabreya!  We've been remarking on Heath and Jake's chemistry ever since "Brokeback" opened.  It's definitely something indefinable and special.  As you explore the site, you'll find lots of Heath and Jake goodness.  Here's a link to a picture thread for our guys.  Enjoy!  8)

Thanks, Meryl. I've went through all of the posts on the Jake and Heath together board, and I like it.
Those two are life long pals.

You know what I heard? And I think some of you can back me up if y'all know this. This part was from the "Brokeback Mountain" movie board on IMDb.
I heard that Heath and Jake FIRST met when they auditioned for the same lead role for "Moulin Rouge". You know that role that went to Ewan McGregor. The leading character's name is Christian. Anyway, neither Jake nor Heath got the part and both were rather dissapointed. But some special happened. It was stated they actually liked eachother. This is mostly unheard of where you become friends with your rival for the same part you're trying to get. But, somehow, these two became buddies ever since that dissapointment over the same part in MR. So, it was like they were 'DESTINED' to be friends for life from the start. When I first heard about this, I was amazed and happy by it because I always thought that BBM was what brought them together when it was actually beyond that. :) :)

I agree that they had amazing cheimstry and seemed to be good friends while promoting their movie. I'm not sure though that they were best friends, but i do think they still had contact also because Jake is Matilda's Godfather. :)

Oh yes. Absolutely. You know what? There's something amazingly unique about their chemistry out of all of the Hollywood actor teams/friends like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Robert De Niro and Al Picino, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, and others. Those two guys are more like the 'approval' type, sorta. In like every single photo of them, they're happy, goofy, and beautiful. They both come from different backgrounds, different heritages, different personalities, and so on yet they have a close net! To tell you the truth, I have never seen two guys have so much fun and love being around eachother.

As far as the relationship between Heath and Jake, we shouldn't forget that neither had any brothers, so, it's not impossible each was the brother the other never had.  Jake being Matilda's godfather points to a significant and open ratification that they were close friends.  I may be wrong on this, but I believe Maggie Gyllenhaal had a home in Brooklyn and this was maybe a reason for Heath and Michelle moving there, out in the boonies, more or less (as compared to Manhatten).
The lack of pap shots of the two together means very little, as friends CAN avoid the paps.  But I think they deliberately played down a very close friendship because they just didn't want the tabloid implications after BBM.  Even so, the friendship may have drifted down, over time, and there's, so far, no way to know.  Nobody's talking.

I think Heath and Michelle bought their house in Brooklyn before Maggie and Peter did!

I wonder if Jake had already seen "The Dark Knight" already. I've been hearing different stories about he went to the premier with Maggie and another that he didn't go because of papparrazi, and all that jazz. Of course, I'd only seen a little bit of the premier coverage on TV and the photos but decided not to look no further because of the awful, painful truth that Heath isn't there. :(
