Irish, then I could really talk to myself.

Ha! I have Irish cousins who are completely fluent and, when elsewhere (anywhere other than in Ireland) they often talk with one another in Irish. People will then wonder--what is that language!

On the other hand, when in Ireland, my cousins talk in English--of course!

Me, I'm the stupid monoglot, unfortunately. Sigh.
