Hi Jane,
Yes I do remember that dream, I read the whole story again last night after reading the latest chapter, you're right it is hot and at that time only a glimpse of what was yet to be.  I studied that scene where you got that pic and you could see and feel the tension, Jack wanted to look but his restraint was strong, he did gulp a few times though, I don't think I coulda been that strong, I would have found some reason to look, non chalantly of course! Lol.  thanks for the pic!

Hey everyone!  Just got back from vacation--and what a slendid time it was for all.  I just wanted to let you know, if you didn't get the message on my lj that I will be posting a short selection of drabbles as an "interlude" in LMtYD between chapters 17 and 18.  They are short and mostly comical and show little snipets of things that happened during the "missing time" that Jack and Ennis spent on the mountain.

It should be up a little later today!

Anywhere there's a 6'5" Russian with kittens to go, and an old dead skunk, I'll ve first in line...

Delightful.

Querry: Does Jack really drink less, or does he hold his liquor better? This isn't the first time we've seen this, as everyone knows.

LOL!  Well, now I know what can capture your attention!  Skunks, Russians, and kittens, oh my!

To answer your question, I would think that at these particular moments, Jack just hasn't drank as much.  I kept making him drink more and more, thinking (in my own mind of course) that he was trying to "catch up" with Ennis.  I don't think it's that he can actually hold his liquor better.  But that's just what I think.
