breakfast today was a piece of bacon and cheddar quiche.  :)

I tried making my own home-made fried egg and cheese and sandwich for breakfast this morning, using whole-wheat toast for the bread. It certainly had less sodium than you would get from a similar sandwich at a restaurant, but it also had less taste!  :laugh:

Supper this evening was a pan-broiled eye round steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed peas, and a slice of whole wheat bread.

Then I invented my own dessert. I took a warmed chocolate-peanut butter Pop Tart and placed it on a plate. On top of it I placed a scoop of Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. Over all I dribbled Hershey's Chocolate Syrup. It was good eatin'!  ;D

I prefer white rice, but it's my understanding that brown is better.

Brown is much healthier, and by itself I think much tastier. White rice by itself is too bland. However, if the meal is going to include some kind of sauce or gravy for on the rice, then I'll use white rice myself.

I'm sure it was. I like to put chili on a bed of brown rice.

I find all rice tasteless, never buy or cook it and avoid it in restaurants and usually leave most of it on the plate.
