All you sometimes need a silly little song to feel what you're saying--

Shiny happy people laughing
Meet me in the crowd
People people
Throw your love around
Love me love me
Take it into town
Happy happy
Put it in the ground
Where the flowers grow
Gold and silver shine

Shiny happy people holding hands
Shiny happy people laughing

Everyone around love them, love them
Put it in your hands
Take it take it
There's no time to cry
Happy happy
Put it in your heart
Where tomorrow shines
Gold and silver shine

Shiny happy people holding hands
Shiny happy people laughing

What pictures! Lovely!

I can't tell you how good it feels to see you posting here - with us again!

Reminding me what's important, how precious this life is, and how wonderful our community is (which I've been neglecting). Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.

I feel the love and it feels good!

Hi everybody!  :)

Better late than never: at last I had a chance to wear one of my New York Brokie Brunch T-Shirts and have some pictures taken of it!
Boy, what a day it was! We (me, my husband and my little girl) kicked off our very own hiking season today, packed a rucksack and walked up the "Feuerberg" near our home. Blue sky, mild summer temperatures and the air so crystal clear, you couldn’t get enough of it! After that awfully long, cold German winter and damp spring I just wanted to drown in those rich colours and the view from the top of the mountain. Elating!

And, of course, my memories of that incredible New York adventure were with me today. I had to smile at the thought of it. What different worlds we live in! And, yet, how connected we are!
I often think about you lovely people. Today was one of these days that I felt: life can't get much better than this. I'm very grateful.

Yours

 ANKE   :-*

Anke, those pictures are beautiful!   8)

Jenny and I were just visiting John Gallagher in the hospital and looked in on his computer, and we swore it looked like you were in Wyoming.  :D

Happy Full Moon in June to you and your family.  :-*

Who knows when the end of this thread will be--we sure have kept it going for nigh on many moons now! But if it has to end here, I think it's fitting that Anke has the last word, or last picture at least, given that she travelled the farthest to be with us, and gave us all such a wonderful gift with her incomparable audio piece about our Brunch.

Ich bein Brokie! (hope that's right!--I just did some research and found out that Kennedy's "Ich bein ein Berliner" could be translated as "I am a jelly donut"!) :D

Hahahaha! Thank you Jenny! There are indeed jelly donuts that are called "Berliners!" But I have never thought of that in connection with Kennedy! Lol.

Yeah, we can all rightly claim:

Ich bin ein Brokie!     :)
