In memoriam
« on: January 28, 2010, 06:13:13 pm »
A few weeks ago, I was not around to get a e-mail from Jess who informed me that her friend Garry LH had passed away.

The reason I didn't get the message for a couple of days was that I had gone up to Timmins to attend the funeral of my godmother, my mother's sister (she was 85). Services for my aunt were held on the 20th of January.

This afternoon my brother called to inform me that my mom, who had progressively been deteriorating with alzheimer for the last couple a years, passed away suddenly this morning. Mom appeared to be in a more aware state of mind during this last visit than she had during the Christmas trip. She had just turned 81 two weeks weeks ago.

So tomorrow, for the 3rd time in a little over a month I'll be heading back North, doing the 450 miles trek back to Timmins. The funeral is already planned for Monday, February 1.

My thoughts are with you my friend.
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection

'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Roland, I'm very sorry to hear about your mother. My mother also died of complications from Alzheimer's. She suffered very little, but it is hard to see someone go through that.

I'm so sorry Roland ... sending you love and hugs.

Wow. All of that at the same time is pretty rough. I'll send up a prayer for you and your family.
