What I really wanted to bump was a thread about the tar-spreading scene, but I couldn't find one. That was when I first started to "get it" -- to realize how deeply complex this movie is. The conversation may actually have occurred on IMDb; I remember Casey Cornelius got things rolling. If anyone knows where it is here, please bump!
