Don't worry, Eric. Chapter 1 is short, only five pages on paper.  ;)

Heh.  True fic fans will hang on.  Not sure if they'd hang on 20 years though.  :P

EDITED TO ADD:  I keep trying Jack/Ennis slashfic in alternate universe, but the Jack character always ends up dead.  I guess in my mind there can never be a happy ending for those two no matter who or where they are.  :(

They don't end up dead in my story. It is 2006 and they are busily living happy, fulfilling, sexy lives.

Not in my AU, either. Leastways, not for maybe another 20 years or so. (We all gotta go some time.)

Jeff and Maine,

They don't end up dead in my story...they are busily living happy, fulfilling, sexy lives.

Guess my guys have to suffer.   :-\  Another massive reason I love BBM so much.  I guess I find angst fascinating.  Doesn't matter if my Jack/Ennis are soldier/circus roustabout stranded on an island after the Krakatoa blast or a monk and the consort of a planetary ruler in a sci-fi universe.  In my stories, Jack ends up dead.   :(

I thought from the first quote that you meant you keep trying to find a fic to read where he didn't end up dead, but from the second quote, am I understanding correctly that you're writing?
Would you consider posting a link one a these days?
