I didn't see anyone solve the purple any earlier than last. I know a tiny bit about rap and I had to stare at the answer for a minute before I got what they were saying. And even then, I only recognize [Megan Thee] Stallion. Now, if it had included "Tha" rappers, I could have named Lil Wayne, who has an album named Tha Carter (his real last name is Carter).

As annoying as it is that they use rappers'  names so frequently, I do understand.  They tend to have funny little nicknames with lots of short words that have nothing to do with a real name.  But, I wonder how many NYT readers solve the rap purple category before the last??
