Ooh - glad you loved it so much!

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I enjoyed it, too.  I like how he's more ruthless and has a certain meanness to him like Ian Fleming wrote him - the only other one that even hints properly at that is Sean Connery's incarnation, I think.  Daniel Craig and the writing on this one make him almost a rogue vigilante, really.  I likey.  I likey muchy.
No more beans!

I echo your sentiments Barb!
This new Bond is dark and scarier, in a downright sexy way!  D. Craig has the perfect looks to go with it too .. and I must say that I didn't mind the shots of his bare chest at all!  Infact, there weren't enough of them!  8)

Ok..I'll shut up and go get some work done now.. lol

Saw Casino Royale yesterday.

1.) The Black stuntman in the opening sequence - Un-fricking-believable!  Danile Craig - great but you couldn't take your eyes off this other guy (didn't catch his name).

2.) O M G !!!!!  Just not fair!

3.) Hmmmmm - loved Bond.  Did NOT buy the love relationship (don't want to provide any spoilers) - Not at all...sorry.

4.) Jake.  Yes.  But No.  I didn't get the rush I got (get) from seeing him in Brokeback.  He looks (don't hit) plain.

Oh well, I will probably see it today.  I always think Bond movies are incredibly formulistic, but there's not alot out there I wanta see today.

I saw Darren Aronofsky's THE FOUNTAIN on Wed.  Visually interesting, but very disconnected. I still don't know what I saw and it seemed a missed opportunity on the subject of immortality.  Hugh Jackman kept his clothes on :( . No trailer for ZODIAC in that film.

Here is a quote from IMDB you might be interested in!

The style of free-running/movement Mollaka the Bomb-Maker uses in the Madagascar Chase near the beginning of the film is called Parkour. Sebastien Foucan, who plays Mollaka, is also one of the creators of Parkour.

I would never hit you.  And believe it or not, I agree with all your sentiments.  Especially #3 - I found the relationship tacked on and unnecessary, and though I understood the intention of including it, I thought it did nothing to move the narrative forward and it fact probably the only flaw in an otherwise perfect movie.

And yes, I still see Jack as existing separately from Jake.  And as much as I adore the latter, I see little bits of him in all of his performances - more in some than in others - but I see only Jack in that one.
No more beans!
