I don't think I've ever seen it.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

I've never seen it, barely heard of it and didn't know it was a Brokie custom!

It's not a Brokie custom. For some strange and unknown reason it's a tradition to watch it on New Years eve in Scandinavia and Germany, maybe in other European countries as well.

Nobody knows why, and the skit isn't even about new years, it's about a birthday.

But it's a funny one, well worth watching.

I posted it above.

Well, Christmas is over, and now we're on for New Year's Eve tomorrow.

I would suspect most people aren't doing anything this year.  I hope 2021 is much better for all of us!

Pasta for supper (my mother's mac and cheese en casserole) with a steak and gravy, and a salad, then a movie (I'm thinking Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but that's not yet settled), and scotch.

Happy New Year from New Zealand

It is now after 7am. I was ready for bed at 9.30pm but then fiddled around and did not get into bed until 11pm. There was a concert and fireworks in the city so a pity it was showery. The last time I was awake for the start of the new year was 2000.

We have a heavy rain warning in place for the next 2-3 days and it is pouring down now so not sure what I will do. It is a 4 day weekend so parking in the city is unlimited. I may go to the movies a few times.  Am quite sure I will not go to the Folk Music Festival to which friends have invited me and some are camping, poor things.
I have just read our local news
"About 5000 people packed into the Octagon for the countdown, cheering as fireworks finally erupted from the roof of the Civic Centre.

While the rain managed to hold off for about the last hour of the party, it started to fall again as the new year began."

Happy 2021 brian! I have lots of special things to eat...too many things! Fortunately, I can continue to celebrate all weekend too.

Both Saturday and Sunday, I have Sherlockian Zoom meetings. Not getting together with any friends this year, too risky for me.

I hear they're going to stream the Scottish Hogmany, looking forward to that!

Happy New Year, Brian!

It will be a quiet NYE for me.  I did buy some of the party foods that I would've had tonight at the party I usually go to, and I'll make them for myself.
