Turns out I was right about the fic winding down..... but in such a wonderful way. **sigh** I almost don't know what I'll do without my daily shot of DMP delight.

I don't know what to do either Mikaela. I really don't. The ending was SO beautiful but I felt so damn lost and emotional last night. I still do. I read the last three chapters in one go and I felt devastated, was crying my eyes out *SIGH* And like Roux, this story has moved me as much as the movie has and I will never forget it and it's oh so sweet and truly beautiful painter boys. And I can't thank Maggie enough for this overwhelmingly beautiful gift. I feel she's poured her heart and soul into this story and it'll certainly be in my heart forever. God, I can't believe how emotional I am about all of this.

Thanks for the New Year wishes Roux!  :-* The same to you  :) and everybody else!  :-*

I'm glad I'm not the only one... I cried before I even read the chapter when I saw that it was the last one. It was such a beautiful story and honestly no fan fiction has ever been as close to my heart as this one. I'm going to miss the painter boys so much!!

Definitely a good excuse to go back and re read the whole thing. I've been wanting to for a while. And I plan on saving each and every chapter to a word doc as I go.
‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.

Me too. And I want to get the whole story bound too. I did that with Somebody New and it was so beautiful  :) And DMP is SO SO worth it too  :)

I was thinking of getting it bound too! Are there places you can take it, or did you just bind it yourself?

OK, I am a little behind, I just read chapter 29 and 30 and loved how Jack reassured Uncle Ennis that Uncle Jack definitely knew that Uncle Ennis loved him. Such wonderful writing that dialogue...

Oh that's great Mandy! You wont regret doing that, I'm sure. No, I didn't do it myself, I wanted it to be a proper book with a hard cover and thats something I can't do! LOL I took it to a place nearby where I live that specialises in doing that  :)

I'm jealous Mel! You still have SO much loveliness to look forward to  :) About 30 chapters of it, in fact! Lucky you!  :)
