Random annoying question - how do you pronounce "Fayette" in your head.  I went to "Lafayette" high school.  And also once lived near Lafayette, Alabama - both with vastly different pronunciations, so just wondered your take...

 

I pronounce it FAY-ette.

In Louisiana it's peonounced Laugh-long e sound-et. Here in GA it's pronunced La-Fay-Ette.

Seizing mine

Plundering, possessing;
Quenching this thirst
Even as it scorches
A fiery trail

I’m set ablaze..

And whimper
Against my skin;
Hot puffs of breath
Tickle their way down.
My heart explodes
Leaps in ecstasy,
Electric waves journey
All the way to my toes.
Our bodies fuse

Every inch of blessed skin
Pressed hard into me..
Bittersweet ache
Wherever you touch..
Pure, intoxicating bliss…

Our years apart,
Cursed and brutal as they were
Dissolve in this downpour,

Flee like unwelcome ghosts.
