Yes, that's a very worthy and noble day.
Most workplaces will get cinnamon buns for the staff and put them in the lunch room.

Here's an idea for you Chuck!
Why not get a bunch of cinnamon buns (or bake them) and hang them in your window!!!!! ;D
What a wonderful sight!! ;D

--- Quote from: serious crayons on Yesterday at 02:44:22 pm ---Those are all very worthy holidays except the switch out of daylight savings time. I don't like it when sunset moves from past 9 p.m. in late June to 5 by November and about 4:30 by the winter solstice. Goes without saying that the day after the solstice is the time to celebrate Longerdays!
--- End quote ---
I would prefer the real time (aka winter time) all year round, just like before this stupid invention of summer time.
Changing back and forth just messes things up.

As you all know, I always wonder what all those people who hate changing the clocks will say when they realize their children or grandchildren have to go to school in the dark in December and January. :-*

As I always say, I'm perfectly content with the way things are because I don't like the idea of sunrise around 4:30 a.m. around the beginning of summer and after 8 a.m. around the beginning of winter.
There must be something wrong with me because I really can't comprehend how people would be happy with that.
But it's also true that I'm a night person. If I'm still awake at 2 a.m., I would prefer not to have the sun rise two hours later. ;D
I understand someone has recently introduced a bill to the U.S. House of Representatives to keep the country on DST.
