Hiya BetterMost friends.

It's Friday, and Payday!  The perfect combination!

My brother, sis-in-law and niece should be over for Easter dinner on Sunday.  Have to make sure the house is clean.  ;D

As for today, I'm hoping it will be a dead day here, with most of our clients closed for the holiday weekend.  I sent a mass email to them all on Tuesday to let them know there may be a chance we'll go home early, and to get any work they need done to me by 2:00 this afternoon at the latest.  I figure if we're let out early, this will ensure I'll have my work done.  If not, then I'll have 2 hours to catch up on other things.

;D

Today's travel destination:

Seville, Spain

Few places celebrate Holy Week, the week before Easter, more fervently than in Seville.  Penitents, many hooded, barefoot, and dragging chains, slowly parade through town streets.  Candlelit processions bear elaborate floats with images of Christ and Mary, and the faithful sing haunting, deeply devotional songs.

'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Welcome to the weekend!  Hope everyone is doing well!

Quiet and rainy Saturday here, a good day to stay in and stay warm.  I thought this was supposed to be spring.

Spring this afternoon in Philly, Chuck.  63 degrees and a pleasant day for a walk, rain cleared off.

The robins were out and about.

But it's supposed to rain again tomorrow.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Geez, I hate Mondays!

It's going to be hectic here at work today, one of the other RAs took today off to have a three day weekend.  (My opinion, she did it so she could sleep off her drunk behavior)

Today's travel destination:

Cuenca, Ecuador

Cobbleston streets, colonial churches and convents, and ironwork balconies are part of the legacy of Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage site about 8,000 feet above sea level in the Ecuadorian highlands.  Four rivers wind through the town, which was an inhabited place long before the days of the Inca Empire.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Hope that everyone is doing well this foggy Tuesday!  I'm one fo the few people here at the office at this time, it's nice adn quiet.

;D

I hope the holidays found everything as you hoped them to be.

Thanks Janice!  My Easter was good, thanks!  Dinner with the family and too much food, as usual.  LOL

Just a moment of reflection upon a friend I lost near the end of last year.

This is me and my buddy, Paul.  Paul was one of the few people that made life bearable for me in high school.  Unlike the others who felt the need to taunt or ignore me, Paul became my friend.  We were close our senior year in high school, he introduced me to his friends, we all went on vacation together.

We went our seperate ways after a few years, and lost touch, as expected, I guess.  It seems to happen to high school friends.  We reconnected on FaceBook and in 2006 we met up again, and I spent a few days at his place in Arizona.

In November of 2010 word got around Facebook that Paul had died.  The obituary said "died unexpectedly", so I assume it was an accident of some sort.  Today would've been his 42nd birthday.

Miss you, buddy!  Thanks for everything!

Today's travel desitination.

Antigua, Lesser Antilles

The yachting world is focused today on Antigua, where Antigua Sailing Week is in full swing.  Serious racing and beautiful-people watching hold equal fascination as blue-blooded sailors and curious landlubbers mingle in English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard.
