Hiya BetterMost friends.

It's Friday, it's payday.....time to do the Happy Dance!

The weekend's weather is supposed to be crappy here.  We'll see what really happens.  I am going to a bbq on Saturday, so I hope that the rains hold off, at least, if it won't be sunny.

I've been asked to make more White Chocolate Brownies, so I'll be baking Saturday during the day.

Today's Travel Destination:

Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico.

Arrive at this most famous of Mexico's Mayan sites today for the Autumnal Equinox, and marvel at Mayan Engineering.  On this day and at the Spring Equinox, the play of later afternoon light and shadow creaing a moving serpent, symbolizing the serpent diety Kulkulcan, that slithers down the temples steps and disappeards into the ground.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Hope that everyone had a great weekend!  ;D

Friday night I did some shopping, Saturday I baked for the bbq, and then went to the bbq and had a great time.  However, I drank a little too much for me.  I don't mean I was drunk, I don't do that any more, unless I'm in a location where I'm not leaving.  However, for some reason, alcohol affects my sleep patterns, so what I did have threw my body off, and I couldn't sleep Saturday night, and I was tired all day Sunday.  I tried to nap but it didn't work.

Slept well last night, however, and I'm alert for work!

Today's Travel Destination:

Land's End, Cornwall, England.

Often called the "toe" of England, this southernmost and westermost pont has a distinctive flavor and craggy coastal beauty.  The official name of the promontory tip is Penwith, but the ancient Cornish called it Pen von Laz, meaning  "end of the earth," and the name endures.

Been there! (almost...)

We were biking, and it was windy and pouring down,
and we gave up and turned back to look for a b & b before we actually got to Lands End!

It's bowling night!  ;D

Happy happy happy!  ;D

Today's Travel Destination:

Mount Desert Island.

Mount Desert Island, a place of craggy grandeur, is covered with fir and spruce forests, and dotted with many lakes.  It is the largest island off the coast of Maine, and is preserved for the public as part of the Acadia National Park.

Been there many times!  It's pronounced like 'dessert' with the accent on the second syllable.  It's not a desert at all, but very forested.  The island is home to Bar Harbor (pronounced 'Bah Hahbah'), famous for its lobster ice cream.

This image made me think of the man in the lobster suit you used to see on Commercial Street in Provincetown.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Happy Hump day!

Well, I got home a little earlier than usual, but not by much!  ::)

Last night our team bowled against the team with the league treasurer on it, so we were constantly interupted by people bringing their weekly fees over to them.   Ugh!

All in all, it's worth it, I'm having a lot of fun. ;D

That being said, I was not amused by the fact this morning that my brother let Blaze up to my bedroom door about 30 minutes before the alarm went off, so he could wake me up.

Today's Travel Destination:

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada & New York State, USA.

A classic way to view Niagara Falls is from aboard the Maid of the Mist, a sturdy boat that takes passengers safely right inhto the baelstrom at the base.  The Maid - actually a series of boats of the same name over the decades - has been operating since 1846.
