Because you can see it for free on YouTube.  Warning:  it's pretty disturbing.

Paul, I guess they're not so tender.  :)

"R" is The Rapture (2011)

Because on IMDb, it's the movie beginning with R furthest in the future.  There is no info on it on regular IMDb, just IMDb Pro.

I haven't seen it yet, but there are a bunch of folks talking about it on another thread. All the reviews are great. "The gay surfer movie and so much more!" I have the links to watch it on Chinese YouTube and it is due out on DVD in the next month or so.

"U" is Untitled Harvey Milk Project (2008)
« Reply #3745 on: April 30, 2008, 07:53:32 am »
Because it's an incredible story and Gus Van Sant is directing an incredible cast:

Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch, James Franco, Josh Brolin (replacing Matt Damon as Dan White), and Victor Garber as Moscone.  Tom Ammiano will play himself (!) and Cleve Jones has a small role.

(edit:  apparently, it's no longer untitled; it's called "Milk")

Folks,

I am heading off to NH and will probably be offline for the next 8 to 9 hours. If you finish up this round in my absence, please feel free to use your creativity to start a new round! You don't need to wait for me.

Have fun!

Leslie

Because I'm a big fan of this minimalist director's work

Synopsis
From acclaimed director Tsai Ming-Liang comes the quirky story of Hsiao Kang, who sells watches on the streets of Taipei. One day, he meets Shiang-chyi, a young woman leaving for Paris the next day. The encounter prompts Kang to run around setting all the watches and clocks in Taipei to Paris time, in an effort to bridge the distance between them. Back in Paris, Shiang-chyi witnesses events that seem mysteriously connected with Kang.

OMG!  This is my 1000th post!  Thanks for pointing it out, Paul, I never would have noticed.  :-*
Does this mean I can now post in the Original 1000+ Posts Club?  I can be original. ;)

Because just the idea of John Travolta schtupping Lily Tomlin is beyond absurd; they have the exact same hairstyles, and you can't tell who is who in the sex scenes.  Apparently, they both have tried to suppress it; it's only available on TV at 3AM.

Congratulations to Gil on 1000 (Original) Cinematic Posts!
