Good morning Everyone.

Went out to water the plants only to realize I still hadn't replanted the iris that were removed last Wednesday (let alone those that were removed Saturday [the grass skirt ones!])

So I went out to plant em in the back (before watering) only to find that the area that Bryan & I had decided to put em in wasn't anywhere large enough ... Sooo ... I started working the soil (removing roots and weeds) before I could plant em. THEN I watered the garden - was outside for about 90 minutes! - And I still haven't replanted the Saturday grass skirt iris. Now I'm hungry!

It's still cool out here (sweated in my jeans & sweater), but sunny ... Wonder when the real hot weather's gonna return.

Not really, not for me - I do some weeding (havent done any a that in a month) & the daily waterin, is all - oh & the photographing. Didn't see anything new this morning, though the tall spotted pale yellow lilies are nearly opened - and I took a few pics yesterday. (including that awful wasp nest - it's HUGE!!!! and pretty)

the state says there are no cougars around here but we have seen prints and people we trust say they have seen them. The state says what we have been seeing is bobcats. Right. Like we can't tell the difference between a little ol bobcat and a cougar>:(

There have been some mountain lion sightings here, as well as some bears, but no encounters with Orangy.

Alright, can someone please explain to this Antipodean the difference between bobcats, cougars, mountain lions and any other member of the cat family (pumas? panthers??) that happen to live in your corner of the planet.
