Robin/Dick Grayson

From IMDb:

It was clear the beginning of the end of the original series had arrived when the mediocre BATMAN FOREVER swooped into the box office. This hugely disappointing third entry lacks Michael Keaton, Tim Burton and a whole lot of other stuff.

The Caped Crusader (Val Kilmer) must once again save Gotham City from evil, this time in the form of the psychotic Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and the twisted Riddler (Jim Carrey in a particularly annoying performance). Along the way he finally teams up with sidekick Robin (Chris O'Donnell), makes a hot blonde psychologist (Nicole Kidman) weak in the knees, and tries out a few new (mostly lame) Bat Toys.

Many critics loved BATMAN FOREVER for its departure from the darkness of the first two entries. But this new "Batman light" doesn't work nearly as well. The characters are quite irritating, and the film tries to squeeze in far too much. Did we really need two villains again, particularly with Robin entering the picture? As imperfect as it is, it's a masterpiece compared to what followed two years later.

Kim Basinger played Vici Vale in Batman and was in the film Even Money.

Burt Ward, who played Batman's sidekick Robin in both the 1960s Batman series and in Batman:the Movie (1966), was in Fire in the Night (1986).

Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin in 1966 and, 39 years later, in 2005.

"G" is Get Carter (2000)
« Reply #4477 on: July 21, 2008, 06:27:02 pm »
Michael Caine, who played Alfred Pennyworth in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight," played Cliff Brumby in "Get Carter."

From IMDb:

A mob enforcer goes back to his native Seattle to sort out the suspicious death of his brother.

The original film is one of the best English thrillers of all time and, despite being made nearly thirty years ago, still packs a punch. Sadly, this film is not really in its league, despite a bigger budget and more ground coverage.

The main problem is that the authors clearly love the original, and this leaves so much of what happens as a question mark to the new viewer. Characters are thrown in from nowhere and Carter's involvement with his boss's girl is almost in another movie. Micheal Caine's small role (as a barman) is funny in that he was the original Jack Carter, here reprised by Sly Stallone.

"I" is In Love and War (1996)

The handsome, but oh so bland, Chris O'Donnell who donned the infamous nippled Robin costume in BATMAN & ROBIN also appeared in this film, as Ernest "Ernie" Hemingway(!)

Plot: Reporter Ernest Hemingway is an ambulance driver in Italy during World War I. While bravely risking his life in the line of duty, he is injured and ends up in the hospital, where he falls in love with his nurse, Agnes von Kurowsky.
