"T" is Thursday (1998)
« Reply #4490 on: July 22, 2008, 06:26:26 pm »

Aaron Eckhart who played the role of Harvey Dent/Two-Face in "The Dark Knight" played Nick in the movie "Thursday."

IMDB Plot: A former L.A. drug dealer (Thomas Jane) has moved to Houston to make a new life for himself as a married architect. Everything falls apart when he is suddenly visited by one of his former cohorts (Aaron Eckhart) who comes carrying heroin. Discovering the dope, the architect flushes it down the drain. This sets up a series of tough customers seeking the dope including a Rasta hit-man (Glenn Plummer), an ex-lover Dallas (Paulina Porizkova) who ties him up and rapes him, a criminal called James (James LeGros) with a penchant for torture, and a rogue cop (Mickey Rourke). Michael Jeter also appears as a psychologist from an adoption agency where the couple is seeking to adopt a child.

Ken Watanabe who plays Ra's al Ghul in BATMAN BEGINS, plays Toda in this film.  Below is the only related image I could find:

"V" is Virgin High (1981)
« Reply #4492 on: July 22, 2008, 08:27:40 pm »
Burt Ward (Robin in Batman: The Movie) plays Dick Murphy in this pathetic film.

IMDb:  Richard Gabai has carved a unique niche in the B-movie industry. He not only is a regular player in various films – he is a director himself of a handful of DTV features. (Note: the foreknowledge that his mentors/frequent collaborators as an actor are Jim Wynorski, Fred Olen Ray, and David Decoteau helped prepare me for what to expect from one of his own films.)

"Virgin High" is a typical shoestring budget sex comedy, which I'm fairly sure was aired frequently on USA 'Up All Night' in the 90s. I may have even seen some of this film a decade ago, but even now after watching it in its entirety, am unable to pick it out from the homogenous mix of films shown so long ago. The plot concerns a sex-starved teenager (Gabai) trying to gain access to the all-girls school his squeeze has been banished to by her father (Burt Ward). He enlists his dopey friends to (supposedly) help him, his girlfriend must deal with the dorm R.A. (Quigley), and all hilarity ensues.

If you're a fan of Linnea Quigley, then perhaps it's worth watching. She is in much of the movie, including (you guessed it) a few goofy nude scenes where she has phony orgasms during one-sided sex with the school's security guard. Though the reason I watched this movie was for Michelle Bauer's role, which was disappointing. Bauer is in only one short scene that looks like it was written in only because they were able to get Bauer for a day. Burt Ward's role is done mainly for kitsch value; most of his scenes he is either playing with action figures of comic book heroes including (again, you guessed it) a Batman figure, or he is being beset by his S&M dom wife, eventually hitting the ultimate low of being caught wearing a shirt saying "Sex Cowboy" at the finale. A sad state to see one of my childhood influences in.

"W" is Who's Kyle? (2004)
« Reply #4493 on: July 22, 2008, 09:23:37 pm »

Gary Oldman, who played Jim Gordon in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight," played Scouse in "Who's Kyle?"

From IMDb:

I don't know how the hell they got Gary Oldman in this monster, but it doesn't help. The main story behind this film is a uncredited rip-off of a Roald Dahl short story, and the writer should be whipped and beaten with spiny sticks.

The story is half-narrated by Kyle, who has nothing interesting to say and, in fact, is a complete idiot, and half-narrated by two wandering musicians, one of whom is a dead-ringer for "The Dude" in "The Big Lebowski." Lame, guys, lame.

British accents came and went, badly written lines were further mutilated, and Roald Dahl spun his casket halfway across the cemetery.

Val Kilmer (Batman in Batman Forever) and Michael Gough (Alfred in Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin) star in this hilarious spoof of WWII espionage films.

aka: Mirror Wars: Reflection One

Rutger Hauer, wh plays Richard Earle in BATMAN BEGINS plays Mysterious Man in this Russian espionage actioner.

From IMDb:   The whole film isn't bad (there is some good action scenes on the earth and in the air), but sometime it's a slightly inconsistently and boring. Seems, all movie budget was spent for action scenes, plane crashings (very effective - without CG!) and three foreign actors. As about Russian actors - for many of them "Mirror Wars: Reflection One" was their first movie. Their performance is rather boring and unnatural - in contrast to their foreign colleagues. McDowell is great villain, Assante - in good traditions of his old movies, Hauer - mysterious charismatic old man. So... 5 out of 10, I think.
