Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction. See if you can do it.

Hmmm ...

At first gance it was clockwise (so I voted that way).
When I looked slightly to the side and watched the figure with peripheral vision, it was easy to reverse it to anticlockwise.
Then, it became easy to look directly at the figure and reverse it.
Which might indicate that, either the brain can be trained to perceive things differently, .....
.......... or I'm bipolar

First it was clear that she is turning clockwise...and I voted. Then, I watched it again after making my vote, and she was turning anti-clockwise.    Then I started making her turn alternately clockwise and anit-clockwise until my brain started doing the same...

I have tried looking at that bloody thing every conceivable way I can (the only way I haven't yet tried is standing on my head!) and to me, she is always only ever moving clockwise.

Every time I look -- first it's going one way -- next turn it's going the other!    I think I'm double - brained. Does that make me extra smart?? Or does it half my capacity?

Thanks for the tip, Shasta. Alas, it didn't work for me! 

In answer to your question, personally I reckon you use more of your brain (both halves) than I do! I'm stuck on/in the right side only, it would appear haha!

That's so cool Kerry!  

At first she turned clockwise, and I voted. I was not able to see her turn the other way round, then I scrolled away and read the text. Afterwards I tried again. First she still turned clockwise. I squinted, willing myself to see her turn counter-clockwise. And she does! Now I can see her turn the direction I want, I can even let her switch back and forth after 1/2 round.

I tried several time to scroll back and then look at her again. Everytime I come back to the girl, she turns clockwise, so I guess my vote was correct.


Tip for Kerry: for me, it's the easiest to let het change directions in the moment when her outward foot is at the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position (=pointing directly to the left or right side of the pic).

That is really weird Kerry! Where did you find this? I see her rotating clockwise, but if I look away and try hard enough, she appears to be spinning counter clockwise and then if I look at the screen she's still doing it, but then suddenly reverses back to clockwise again.

Ok who is gonna clean up the mess on my desk now...I just made myself so dizzy.  That little minx spun clockwise, then I started at her long enough and she started spinning counter, then clockwise, then I made her spin half one way half the other...that's when I almost fainted...LOL
