I used Paul's trick on my fourth guess, although before I thought of doing that I was going to guess NURSE, so whether the trick was a good idea or not depends on whether you're empirical about Wordle guesses rather than placing some trust in intuition. My intuition only kicks in when I choose not to guess words that seem too unusual for Wordle. Wordle plays fairer than Connections, because it rarely uses words nobody's ever heard of.
