LOL at the purple! No way I could have solved that. In my defense, we don't have Swedish meatballs. We just have meatballs. Same with Swedish fish, we just have candy fish. What I do know about is bork, bork, bork!  ;D
As for Swedish massage, I'm not sure I care to know what it is.... ::)

This reminds me of a funny line I once heard on Friends. One of the friends was going to China, and they were talking about why that would be fun and Chandler/Matthew Perry says, "Good Chinese food! Only there, they just call it food."

I tried that line the other night when someone was describing something they ate in Mexico as great Mexican food. I said, "Only there they just call it food" and the person, not laughing or smiling, just said "right" and continued talking. Apparently I don't have Matthew Perry's comedy delivery skills.

I'm not sure I'm familiar with a Swedish massage, and isn't a Swedish chef just a chef from Sweden? Like a chef from Spain would be a Spanish chef and so on, for every country?

The only Swedish chef I know of is Marcus Samuelsson, who was born in Ethiopia but adopted and raised by Swedish parents. He had a well-regarded Scandinavian restaurant in Minneapolis called Aquavit that, per Wikipedia, closed 22 years ago. He has restaurants in New York and other cities.

I went to Aquavit once. It served flights of Aquavit in different flavors. Don't remember much about the food but I'm sure it was good. Apparently he has won Beard awards.

If the word in the grid had been DEATH CLEANING, I would have gotten it.
