Phillip's update today:

Quote
Latest update on John Passaniti: He is slowly becoming more conscious and has occasionally been able to communicate with us, but only briefly. He appears to recognize family members and is basically stable. He is in for a lengthy recovery, once we assess what deficits he has as a result of the stroke. He remains in the ICU.
I am just taking things one day at a time, as are our cats, who miss him dearly.
I am also always surprised by the massive amount of redundant paperwork I am filling out. Our medical system continues to be burdened by a ludicrous amount of forms that still need to be mailed or faxed. I think doctors will be the last people on the planet to have working fax machines.

I'd like to send flowers when he goes home from the hospital. Anybody want to go in with me?

Should it be flowers?

We recently had a co-worker who had to take a leave of absence due to cancer treatments.  We initially were going to send flowers, but another co-worker who is a cancer survivor said that flowers could be associated with death, and can sometimes be taken the wrong way.

We instead sent fresh fruit,  natural juices that were to help with energy and strength, and gift cards for food delivery.

When she completed her treatment and was cleared to come back to work, she said all the gifts came in handy and were greatly appreciated.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!
