I counted 21 countries, which I thought is pretty much. But the world is sooo big, and Europe is so small. On the map, it looks pretty few.

Chrissi, I was thinking that too. One click on Canada or the US, and a big red area appears on the map, but a bunch of clicks in Europe or SE Asia don't show much at all. Just wait til someone has been to Russia or China - one click will really redden up the map.

...the United States of America (born and bred) and Mexico (los Estados Unidos Mexicanos) [grandparents took me to a border town when I was quite young)

Milli, I know that the African country in the middle is Cameroon. Am I right in thinking the other two to be be Ghana and Kenya?

i can't get into this site at work. But I have been to Iceland - all be it only for 6 hours on my way to Boston but I did get to go to the Blue lagoon and see a bit of the countryside along the way!

I've been to 19 countries....(if you count england, wales and scotland seperately)

Iceland
Cuba
Spain
France
Italy
Germany
Czech Republic
Poland
Scotland
England
Wales
Croatia
Austria
Sweden
Netherlands
Greece
Turkey
Slovenia (travelling through - didn't stop)

next year I will also be going to ireland (and am currently trying to organise a trip to Moscow and St Petersburg via Riga (dont you just loveRyanair flights!? which would tick off Latvia and Russia)

But I'd love love love to see more of the world and I plan to do so - I'm 24 and managed 19 countries so not doing too bad so far!

But look at all the countries you have visited! Every continent save three is represented in your repertoire (and one of those, Antarctica, houses no sovereign nation). I'd say that's quite impressive, though I understand your wanting to see even more (the world is indeed a vast and incredibly varied place).

I just looked at this little map of mine. I screwed something up. I have never been to Indonesia. I must have accidently checked Indonesia when I meant to check the Caribbean. Was the Caribbean on the list?

A part from Indonesia, it's all pretty much above the equator..

It counted 36 countries! But it's still only 14%!! of the world's coutnries! [I used to know where to put apostrophies.. now I don't..]

Update; I've been to the US since the last time I was on this thread

Additionally, I had forgotten some countries the first time round. Altogether, I've been to 24 countries.

Hi Kelda!!

Yes, we do have two "What countries have you visited" threads. But I think Melissa started a second thread for a different purpose. She started it so people could ask questions about a country and perhaps someone who either lives in the country or has visitied it could answer it. So I hate to mix the two together. They appear the same, but actually they are quite different.

Melissa, please correct me if I'm wrong.

But you have a good point Kelda. We have some duplicate threads in this forum and I need to stop being so lazy and combine some of them. I've noticed many of the personality quizzes are duplicates.
