They've never had us doing this kinda in-service outta town before. This is my last year teaching so I'm not feeling that I need a car - just feeling that thy are (again) planning things as poorly as possible. If it's too much trouble going to this one, I'll reconsider going to others (only two teachers per school are attending this one and another one later this month). When they've done outta town inservice before, I got some time to organise some kinda car-pooling, but this is just the 6th day of school - poor planning indeed.

Interesting fact I learned recently: our school board's got the highest number of 'official, union supposted complaints' from teachers (called 'griefs' en francais) aimed at the school board in the whole province. And I thought ALL our problems stemmed from bad provincial decisions from the Conservative government that was in power up till 4 years ago. No. Seems we've had some god awful leaders in our school board too (not just our [former] pricipal, but also our superintendent - she too has recently taken a leave of absence {halleluiah}.)

cause I was sitting here looking at my hands...I have some bites on my hands that are peeling and leaving scars. You can sure look at my hands and arms and tell I am no kept woman...

their bites leave a big blister. Hurts like...well...like FIRE...(hince the name)

Took me near 2 hours to get there this mornin - with excellent connections , but I wasn't late.

Now, tomorrow morning, I've got to prepare two day's worth a classes (cause I'm taking Thursday off to get my bloodwork done in the morning and seeing my dentist in the afternoon), and tomorrow'll be a very long day. Gonna hafta report on today's doings, help select this year's "shows" at school for this coming year, and, there'll be a meeting after school ...

I do believe that would be March 30, 2008. Six months...but remember...you have weekends off and the holidays...so really only about four months..

four months that will seem like four years!!

Got no idea what THAT means!

Just checked it out ... cause we got ourselves 29 days in February this coming year, March 31st will be on a Monday! yup I'll have to show up on Monday, and retire on the Tuesday ... some 25 work weeks (and 2 days) from now.
