From IMDb:

Fourteen-year-old Siddharta lives in Rome with his mother, Silvia - an affectionate, rambling, though shifty woman. She does not work. She lives by her wits, her friendships, her relationships. She's separated from Siddharta's father, Massimo, who does his best to help them. With Roberto she has a five-year-old daughter, Domitilla, who lives with her own father, from whom Silvia is also estranged. The two siblings love each other very much. Domitilla moves in for the Christmas holidays, and, one day while rummaging among her mother's trousse, gets hurt by a syringe. Emotional turmoil ensues. Siddharta has to live on in spite of his parents' mis-doings. He sends Domitilla to do HIV, HBV and HCV tests without their parents' knowledge. Hence, he has to use his own name. That causes unexpected trouble.

Plot:   Stingy old Ebenezer Scrooge is known as the meanest man in London. He overworks and underpays his humble clerk, Bob Cratchit, whose little son, Tiny Tim, is crippled and may soon die. He also has nothing to do with his nephew, Fred, because his birth cost the life of his beloved sister. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge has a haunting nightmare. He is visited by three ghosts and is given one last chance to change his ways and save himself from the grim fate that befell his business partner, Jacob Marley.

« Reply #5675 on: December 21, 2008, 11:31:16 am »
Plot: As usual, Casper, the Friendly Ghost, is out to make friends but the only creature willing to respond is a fat turkey worrying his wattles off about the upcoming Thanksgiving Day. Casper does all he can do to get his friend to go on a diet and lose weight but the turkey keeps eating and getting fatter. Thanksgiving arrives and here comes Farmer Jones, axe in hand, ready to execute the main course of his holiday dinner. But the farmer sees Casper and flees in panic, so Casper has a new friend...at least until next Thanksgiving.

"E" is Eloise at Christmastime (2003)
« Reply #5676 on: December 21, 2008, 11:41:09 am »

IMDb user:  This is a delightful movie that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike! It's a wonderful story that takes place in New York City, the Plaza hotel, actually, at Christmastime. There are many things going on at the Plaza, including a wedding, which Eloise is determined to stop. Eloise friends and other employees and residents of the Plaza are all wonderful characters. Julie Andrew's role, though not as acclaimed as other roles she's played, is truly entertaining. I would absolutely recommend this movie to anyone.

From IMDb:  Squirrel Ginger is the ringmaster for an animal circus. A parrot has snuck in using a weasel's ticket; the weasel keeps trying to enter as well, but keeps getting thrown out. The parrot heckles, and is also thrown out. The weasel prepares to clobber the parrot, but a mole pops up with a "Peace on Earth" sign which the weasel smashes on the parrot.

"H" is Holiday Affair (1949)
« Reply #5679 on: December 21, 2008, 01:08:04 pm »

Plot:  Just before Christmas, department store clerk Steve Mason meets big spending customer Connie Ennis, really a commercial spy. He unmasks her but lets her go, which gets him fired. They end up on a date, which doesn't sit well with Connie's steady suitor, Carl, but delights her son Timmy, who doesn't want Carl for a step-dad. Standard (if sweet) romantic complications follow.
