I know I said that last Friday (Dec 8th) was my mother's 80th birthday. This is a card she received from a friend, which had us all in hysterics.

I would like to complement our Top 10 Topic Starters. These are the people who make the discussion forums lively! I was so surprised to see myself on this list, because until recently starting a topic was something I hated to do! But I'm getting more courageous lately.

Phillip: 377 topics
Ellemeno: 151 topics
ednbarby: 99 topics (yay Barb!)
Impish: 77 topics
Lynne: 76 topics
YaadPyar: 71 topics
Front-Ranger: 68 topics
MaineWriter: 66 topics
David925: 53 topics (yay David!)
Sheriff Roland: 46 topics

(I have singled out our non-mod top topic starters for extra kudos)

I am a little behind the 8 ball here with my morning check in! LOL

Warm today: 50 degrees right now, and blue sky. This is December? I'm not complaining!

I am so excited!

Marge_Innavera wrote a great article about "Tom of Finland" in The Daily Sheet at davecullen.com:

http://davecullen.com/forum/index.php?topic=18557.msg635353#msg635353

She mentions A Love Born From Steel and how Jack and Ennis discovered Hal's old collection of Physique Pictoral magazines. The article has pictures, too!

For anyone who wants to read that particular chapter, the link is here:

Enjoy!

Good morning All.

There was quite the thick fog this morning.  It looks like the sun finally burned it off.

Oh well.   Three days of cloudy weather and now it is sunny.  Just in time for me to go back to work, as today is my Monday.  :(

Hopefully Nick will be there to brighten my day!   :)

Leslie, you and Marcia are helping to uncover a whole hidden part of history! That was a very interesting chapter, I remember reading it very clearly.

I think I have brought it up before that my daughter is going to a new, expeditionary high school here in Portland, ME.

They are doing creative and innovative stuff. This is one of her classmates:

Thoughts, anyone?
