Oh yeah. Another day at the TSA.
Yesterday as I was standing at the counter filling out some forms in our office, I felt a friendly nudge on my backside. I turned to see it was Nick just arriving to work too. <deep sigh>
As we walked to a particularly busy area he said that he didn't like a certain spot as it was difficult to handle by ones self. I agreed and said that is why I always pitch in when I can to help if they can spare the person.
Sure enough, when we arrived the Supervisor told Nicky to go work that exact area. Nicky looks over at me with those big eyelashes and says :"Dave will you come work with me?" <Melts> "Sure thing Nick"
But the Supe grabs me and says, nope, your going over here instead" <Damn>
Fortunately after 15-20 minutes the Supe comes back and tells Nicky and I to go open a new lane togther. <Yippie!> So we got to work together the rest of the day!
Of course all y'all know this will end badly most likely. He'll get transferred or get hired as a Policeman and leave the TSA. Or worse, eventually people will notice I don't have a girlfriend/wife and never talk about girls. Then Nick may not want to be around me as much once I get pegged as a suspected queer. Not that it will happen, but you know how people gossip. Alot of the female TSA have already been hanging out around me sniffing around. The lack of a wedding ring make me a prime target for the single ones. Hell, even the married ones have been giving me the once over. LOL.
Little do they know I am in my glory working with all these hot ex-military guys!
