Nutmeg Guy, I sympathize with your new hassles.  They were already observing those rules in Jackson, WY, when I flew back on Saturday.  It's a good thing that's a small airport, because people were holding up the line drinking their liquids so they wouldn't lose their designer water containers! 

You are in Wyoming now Meryl?? I'm jealous!! I bet it's beautiful up there. 

Which song did your brother play?  I love the string bass. It's a beautiful instrument. 

David, many pages ago you asked me this question, and I didn't forget!  The piece is by Kenneth Gaburo, and it's titled INSIDE: A Quartet for One Bass Player.  It was written in the '60's and still has an original freshness to it.  The performer has to do four things: play the strings, make sounds on the instrument itself, make vocal sounds and create clicking/kissing/trilling sounds, hence the "quartet' description.  The sheet music looks practically indecipherable!  I thought Skip did a great job with it, and the audience was mesmerized.  Here's a pic of him lifted from the video we made:

It is raining here too. 66 degrees. The paper says the rain will end this afternoon. My sister and her family are up here in Maine on vacation, so I hope for their sake it does stop raining!

It was 82 at 7am. It's sunny and hot here! Today we are supposed to break the 100 mark again.
Yesterday we were just shy of it at 98. The air is so bad. there is a code red smog alert!
I live 50mi out of Atlanta and it affects us!
