I am really looking forward to supper tonight. Plans are for chicken with pasta and fat-free gravy, with a side of steamed veggies. Maybe a serving of ginger snaps for dessert.  :)

I shudder to think what my weight will be tomorrow morning, but for supper this evening, I did something I have not done for years--and I do mean years: I went to McDonald's for a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, fries, and a strawberry milkshake. (Since I bought a meal, they threw in an apple pie; I've never had a McDonald's applie pie, and it wasn't bad).

So anyway, now that I've got that craving out of my system, I guess I'm good for another ten years or so.

I have discovered that a toasted whole-grain bagel, a hard-boiled egg (previously cooked, of course), a banana, and a cup of coffee make a nice breakfast.

Fall is just about here, and I notice that my usual craving for carbs has begun.  :-\

Skipped breakfast today.  Lunch was soup and crackers.  Dinner was a small veal parm sandwich

Little side-story from Monika's and my recent WY/NE/SD/CO trip: all Holiday Inn Express hotels had pancake-plotters!
I had seen the waffle-makers before, but pancake plotters were NTM. You push the button and the batter gets released on a kind of hot conveyor belt inside the machine. At the end are two drums/cylinders through which the pancakes are pressed and finally fall right onto your plate.

Another culinary novelty for me: pulled pork/chicken/beef. For really lazy people - and I liked it. ;D

If there's a way to make life more convenient, you Americans are the ones to find it! 8)

There should be little windows so you can watch the progress of the pancakes, IMO!!
