I think channel 9 is airing it here, but I don´t have it so I´ll be watching online.
There were several websites that aired the Golden Globe Awards , so I don´t reckon it will be any difficulty to find somewhere to watch the Oscars.

Oh, OK. Thank you. I was curious because I had just checked that no channel was airing it here that I could see - hence heping me with my resolve not to watch!  ;D   ::) I would have liked to see the red carpet thingie before the show though - it's quite fun to have a look at the gowns and to look out for possible fashion disasters.

I've managed to stay away these past two years and am not going to watch it tonight either. I'll probably watch the youtube acceptance speech for Heath's award, as I've done for many of this season's 'Joker' fest, but that's it. The Accademy Awards are finished - for me.

plus I no longer pay for cable and don't watch TV anymore - just DVD's of my favourite series and movies.

It is Monday morning here in Australia, and we are getting a live telecast of the Oscars from 10am this morning.

I'll watch, because I like all the award type shows, even though I do get up with some of the speeches and cringe at some of the not so funny jokes. I like seeing the actors out of their screen characters, and of course I love seeing the gowns and all the razza mataz.

Of course for us Aussies we will be extra interested to see how Hugh Jackman goes as the host, and most importantly to see Heath receive his award.

It would not surprise me in the least if Matilda is with his family to receive the award. Knowing the dignity of the family, if she is there, it will be done without any exploitation and  in a very tasteful way.

I have in typical Fiona fashion, gone against all my ethics and cannot bring myself to miss the Osacrs, so I will be there, glued to the screen. So much for ethics,fortitude and the serious travesty that became the BBM Oscar year and my resolve never to watch and give credence to them again.
