Saudi women again challenge the ban against women drivers
« on: June 17, 2011, 07:23:34 pm »
I'm so glad social sites and media have allowed women to break free yet again.  Embolden by seeing Arab women in Tunisia and Egypt actually take to cyberspace and the streets to topple governments, they are trying baby-steps...just trying to get the right to drive.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – A Saudi woman defiantly drove through the nation's capital Friday while others brazenly cruised by police patrols in the first forays of a campaign that hopes to ignite a road rebellion against the male-only driving rules in the ultraconservative kingdom.

More power to 'em.  Personally I'd hate to live in a counry where I was required to dress like a beekeeper.
