But I think I understand Alicat. Her approach is from Marc's point of view in relation to Kay.
In the comments they said something like that: Marc wanted to try out with Bettina what he was experiencing with Kai.
When I look at that scene, it's difficult for me to see it that way because of how he is treating his pregnant wife (with drugs in his blood!).
But, from Marc's point of view,  I agree with Alicat: Marc seems comfortable and experienced with this. It tells us something about his sexual relationship with kai, it makes it easy to imagine how they "do it".
So if I try to imagine this scene with Kay instead of Bettina, it is kind of sexy.

I agree the raid was just for drugs. Kay wasn't caught doing anything illegal.
Why he did it, we don't know and is open for interpretation.

When Kai showed up at the babyparty, it seemed to me he was provoking too.
At the audio DVD version they said there was an extra scene at the baby party. Kai held a sort of speech to all the collegues about his being gay and that he loves Marc. (He hoped that it would trigger Marc to confess his feelings too). I don't know why they left that scene out.
So yes, I think he was trying to force things.

That's what makes discussing interesting, several point of views.

If they're not going to give us a sequel, here is an idea to mostly satisfy us:  Release a dvd with all of the deleted and cut scenes in their entireties.  As Butler (I think) previously mentioned, the filmmakers could then retire on the spot with the amount of money made from that alone.

That would be great  .
But who knows, maybe we will get that sequal.
They made a joke about in the audio comments (Freier Fall 2 in five years).

I don't know if we can consider FF as a success movie. Of course, for a foreign movie, gay themed (limited audience) it did more than great.
But you can't compare it to a hollywood production or compare it to a movie like Broke Back Mountain.
On the other side, the director and actors didn't take this role for big money but for the challenge.
Lot's of people are asking for a sequal, so who knows. Let's hope
