I'm sure I could find the time of today's sunset on the internet, but it just wouldn't be as much fun as having the times through the whole month right in front of you on one page, so you can track it.

Actually, you can get the whole month's sun/moonsets and sun/moonrises on the same page on the internet. But I understand your affection for a print form, especially one that's 200 years old.

The Old Farmer's Almanac has been published for 225 years so maybe yours just wasn't up to the competition. TOFA is available in both print and online.

The competition is the internet, not TOFA, especially when you consider that Baer's is keyed to this region, and the bad guy of the piece is the USPS that keeps raising mailing costs unpredictably.

Though I have wondered if Baer's has considered going on line.

We've come to a milestone, friends! Today is the earliest sunset of the year...at 4:35 pm in my area. It will stay there for 5 days and then on the 11th, sunset will be at 4:36!

Of course, the sunrises will continue to come later, but just for about 15 days and then they'll start getting earlier! Tell that to my cat, though. She still lives by the clock, and wants me up before 7 am!

I just realized that on any given day, I can check the sunrise and sunset times on my phone (in the weather app), but it's not the same as being able to see the times for an entire month on one page.
