This photo isn't a good fit for the quote but I LOVE his mouth in that photo!! And this prose just kills me dead.

Agree on both counts... that mouth, that prose... *Le Sigh*
‘cause the truth is, I already give him everythin’ I got to give, more than I ever even knew I had; ‘n it all for him, all of it, him who is my brother, my father, my child, my friend, my lover, my heart, my soul; my Ennis.

I am coming to the end of delMar Painting and what a wonderful journey that was. Timing is everything and this one must have come at a time when I needed it because it. like "Somebody New" touched me in "that" place. For something that was supposed to be just light and fun, it was so much more.

You said it Roux. Have you read any of her other stuff?

Did anyone read her one-shot "The Messenger" she posted today? Beautiful beyond words. She guts me every time.

I've read many of the one-shots but haven't ventured into any other stories. She breaks my heart too much for that. I know I'll go there eventually but not yet.

Latest absolute MUST read by Maggie:

The Legacy of Elk-Killer and Bull-Rider

In her reply to my comment, she said she might continue it. Oh, I so hope so.

Well be prepared when you read "Catch the Westbound." That one broke my heart and reduced it to ashes.

Did you wind up finishing it Leslie? Did you get through "Boxcar"? I started to re read this whole series, got to Catch the Westbound about a week ago and stopped, the window is still minimized at the bottom of my computer screen just waiting for me to have the courage to open it. It's a beautiful story and, honestly, probably the story I've been most affected by out of all the fic I've read... but it still takes some working up to.

This blew me away... it takes serious talent to write myths and to use that tone and voice that Maggie used in that story. As Helen said on LJ, I'll never look at constellations the same.
