Hope you're brother is feeling better as the day has gone on?

I take it you didn;t go on that date due to the family issues?

Try and enjoy Boston and give everyone a hug from me!

Only seeing this now.

I'm so sorry for your brother, Chuck, and wishing him all the best.

Also thinking of you and the rest of your family. What a scary thing to happen!

Hopefully the'll find what caused it soon, and give him proper treatment.

And for you: Have a wonderful Brokie time in Boston!!!   :-*

Evening friends!

Sorry for my late appearance here!  Between getting chores done, finishing up stuff for the AIDS Walk, and seeing my brother in the hospital, I've had little spare time today.

The doctors think they found the cause of the clot.  The did a body scan/dopler/sonogram or something of that nature, and didn't find any other clots.  However, (more tests to come) it appears that Chris may have a valve in his heart that is leaking blood, which could cause the clots.

He is still in intensive care, because they can't find a room for him.

One extra bonus......Chris has a weight issue, and has sleep apnea.  He's been trying to get some equipment to monitor it, but his insurance won't cover it.  The nurses and doctors heard him snoring while he slept, and ordered a sleep apnea machine for his room there.  They said that with all the tests they're doing, they will say they are using the machine for pulmonary reasons, and the insurance will cover its use.

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Fingers crossed for a good outcome for him Chuck xx

Many times a health scare like this is a big warning to the patient to change parts of their lifestyle, so hopefully some good will come out of this goddam bitch of an unsatisfactory situation....

I'm sure your brother is in good hands, you seem to have a loving family, and no doubt they are all rallying around him.

Take care my friend, travel well on your journey to Boston...so proud of you for having so many donations to take with you.
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection

I am back home from Boston and the Brokie Bash.

;D

My brother is doing well.  He had a filter implanted to prevent further clots, is responding to meds, and is in his own room now, out of ICU.

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Yup, it's not Monday, it's Tuesday!  ;D  Short work week this week, since I was off yesterday!

Yaaaaaaaaaaay!

Boston was fun, and it was great to see Brokies again!  Looking forward to the next one, maybe this time I'll actually have my camera!
