Well, back to the grind, and God knows what I'll find.

As you can see by Milo's post, the Spanish bank Santander has purchsed Sovereign Bank, which is where I work.

I don't think it will affect me as much right now.  Santander has no pressence in the U.S., but they want that, so taking us over gives them the branchs and visibility they want.  So because there are no locations here, there is no "consolidation" needed.

Of course, I could be waaaaaaaaay off.

I guess I'll be finding out soon enough!

Santander seem to be doing the rounds - they have a huge share of Abbey and increased that recently.

Ok, well we had a conference call today to explain things.

No one is losing their jobs, no downsizing.

We are going to be a subsidiary of Santander, so we are keeping the Sovereign name, but that may change in the future.

Otherwise, business as usual.
