I'm the first one up to put up inspirational morning photos: mostly because today should be Offer Day with my new British firm.  This photo is significant in that it was taken while going about oh, umpty ump miles per hour in my little red Toyota as I headed cross country from Minnesota to Vancouver, BC in mid-april 1997, ten years ago, to accept a job with an IT technology group at SHL Systemhouse/MCI Systemhouse which lay the major groundwork for my present consulting career, and today I am negotiating a similar type position, only this time as the manager of a new practice group.  An actual leadership position has been a long, long time coming, and it is both exciting and a little... scary.

oh yeah and it is, at dawn, 49 degrees and clear, promising to give perfect though breezy weather for Leslie's and my trip to see Steely Dan at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston tonight.  A fitting celebration.
