Apparently, Chuckie and I knew all about it!

I was not a fan of McDonald's, but my brothers were, so we went to that place when we were kids, and I would get the chicken nuggets.  They had a playground with the characters painted on the walls, and Grimace was one of the characters.

How can a grimace be purple?

That's the name of the character in the picture you asked "what the hell is that?" earlier, which Paul had posted.  See below.

Grimace is one of the characters that was used to promote McDonald's stuff. 






From left - Birdie the Early Bird (promoted breakfast foods), The Professor ("inventor" of the McNuggets),  The McNuggets Buddies (being held by The Professor), Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Hamburgler (steals the hamburgers), Captain Crook the pirate (steals the Filet O Fish sandwiches), the little hairy blobs with eyes are The Fry Kids, who loved McDonald's french fries.  Lastly, there are the burgers.

There were two more characters that existed that for some reason are not in  the pic,  Mayor McCheese and Officer Big Mac.






Mayor McCheese had a cheeseburger for a head, and was the Mayor of McDonaldLand.  Officer Big Mac had a Big Mac Burger for a head, and was the police force of McDonaldLand, often tried to catch Hamburger or Captain Crook in the commercials.

I came all the way back here to modify this because as I was going about my business I suddenly realized I had said, "Oh, FU, Wordle!" and had to change it to "Oh, FU, Connections!" Wordle was not a problem, and in fact rarely is. A word is a word; unless it's some really obscure word, which I've rarely seen there.
