What Colson did when he decided to drive to Tourmaline and find out about 'the queer world'.

Colson is hot for his man in uniform

“I hear you got a thing for men in tight black uniforms, cowboy,” he whispered huskily. “Specially when they whisper in yer ear like so...” he ran his fingers lightly across Colson’s chest, finding the perking tip of a nipple, and seizing it gently at first, then tweaking it a bit harder, while probing gently with his tongue around the outside of his ear.

“Ohh...” Colson moaned, his cock already twitching to life once more.

Ellery chuckled softly. “I do like a man who knows what turns him on.”
You're the love of my life
And the breath in my prayers
Take my hand, lead me there

I can't forget the taste of your mouth
From your lips the heavens pour out
I can't forget when we are one
With you alone I am free

X rule

Since neither Colson nor Ellery were xenophobic, nor did they play the xylophone, let's put the X rule in place...any word or phrase with an X in it can be played...see my next example.

Colson and Ellery liked eggs, sausage, and doughboys for breakfast...not Trix!

where Colson likes to bird-watch:

It took more than ten minutes, in the end. Colson needed a ladder to get the feeder down where it hung off the eaves, before he could add the mounting and screw it to the pole he had pounded into the ground in the middle of the back yard, far enough from overhanging tree branches so that Greybeard the tomcat could not mount another assault.

as in Zane Grey's Last Trail

Colson stopped at the grocery store on the way home and picked up some food and then headed back to Ellery’s house, fixed himself some lunch, and changed into the new boots. He tried to turn on the video recorder but had not figured out how it went on with the television, so he looked through the books, finding a section of Zane Grey westerns.

He was deeply engrossed in “The Last Trail,” stretched out on the sofa with a pot of chili simmering on the stove when Ellery’s Monte Carlo came into the carport. He stepped in the door moments later and saw Colson in a snug pair of new Wranglers, a pristine white shirt, and brand new boots, and whistled.

“I died an went ta heaven. Whose this cowboy lyin here in my living room I wonder?” he said in a sultry voice.

Colson's first love.

“You never was with anyone else?”

Colson shook his head. “Never wanted ta. I was lonely. Shit...was I lonely. Never told em. We only saw each other sometimes. This...” he tapped a finger on the cover of the journal...“this was from when we met, we went on a cattle drive up in Indian country together. Lonely as fuck, all alone most a the time, with a whole herd a bawlin cattle goin a auction, old ones a veal calves takin up the rear, an we was at the rear. He wrote a few things down, bout how he felt. Things he never said.”
