Thanks, guys.  ;D  I'd post a lot more, but I don't own a camera, so I have to wait for someone I know who does own one to take pictures, then borrow their camera and mooch off the back of their memory chip.

I love animal pics too.  It's funny Nicki wouldn't look at you Shasta.  Mad at you, probably.  When dressed up, my cats look at me all the time - hopefully.  Hoping I'll take the stuff off 'em.  ;D

Hiya Pet lovers......I need some help.

My family has a cat named Blaze.....he'll be with us for a year in June.

If he makes it that long here.

 ::)

When we got him as a kitten, he was easily trained to use the litter box.  No accidents anywhere.

In Feb of this year, he had a bout of diarrhea.  We took him to the vet for a shot, and it seemed to be fine.  However, as time goes on, the diarrhea is becomming more frequent, and he can't get to the litter box.  We've taken him to the vet for tests, worms came back negative.

The vet said it could be colitis.  He gave us special food about a week ago.  It hasn't helped, and the diarrhea is still here.  Each morning is a sick treasure hunt of where he releaved himself.

On Thursday he has an appointment for x-rays and bloodwork.  Needless to say, this is getting expensive, and we are concerned for Blaze's health.

Has anyone else had to deal with this issue?  Any advice?

I had a kitten (who did grow to be an adult) who had so much diarrhea that I thought he'd surely die. I took him several times to the vet before we got rid of it. I kept him contained in one of the bathrooms and he had a litter box, but I also put down piddle pads because he didn't always make it into the litter box. I had to give him a bath every day and he lost hair on both sides of his head, but he had it down the center so it looked like a mohawk.

That has been several years ago, and I can't remember the name, but it was a bacteria in his intestines. It lasted over a month.

Don't give him any milk. He may have an allergy.

Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect.

It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfection
