Human Interest and Two Crows Joy by MadLori

Since my review was the 600th, probably most of you have read it. I read it at one sitting---of NINE HOURS.

   "Human Interest" by madlori

                  http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2759902/1/

Sequel, "Two Crows Joy"--hey, best title I ever read! Anywhere, for any medium. I can't stop saying it...
One crow sorrow, two crows joy
Three crows a girl, four crows a boy
Five crows silver, six crows gold
Seven crows a secret never to be told
Eight crows a wish, nine crows a kiss,
Ten crows a time of joyous bliss.

--American folk rhyme

When I think of writing a stoiry about Jack and Ennis, it's always limited tyo two lines of conversationm:

Ennis: Where'd everone go? It's so quiet...
Jack: There ain't anyone else, Bud...

Julie,

They are among my top five favorites too!  The new chapter (chapter 7) for “Two Crows Joy” is the best so far.  I also like chapter 3 where Jack took Ennis out on a date, very sweet and romantic.

Another one that you should not miss is “Somebody New” (http://jennasts.livejournal.com/)

Here are my top five (in no particular order)
Human Interest
Two Crows Joy
A love Born from Steel
Somebody New
Big Boots of Pain

Jenny: I can't stand it anymore, limiting myself to one chapter a day..I have to read chapter 7...no more 9 hour sessions...though.
My story has 86 hits, but only a few (very nice) comments...doesn't asnuyone like it...er, think it's good (what's to like?)

Just got an update that MadLori has writer's block plus some real life issues to deal with (real life, what's that?) so we may not be getting an update on Two Crows Joy for awhile...

And there is a nasty comment on Human Interest site complaining no TCJ updates.  It was "anonymous" of course.

I am patient, but secretly hope there will be an update soon.

"Writer's block" for fanfiction...must be somethintg serious, I kid you not, because thre mian problem is normally how to STOP writing, and mind your business...I imagine whatever it is, it musty be pretty weighty. And we should all be as patient as we have to be...

Best of everything with whatever it is, MadLori...

I have enjoyed Human Interest and 2 Crows Joy as well.

I know that there haven't been updates for TCJ for a while, and I thought it might be simply because life happened.  She mentioned that she was trying to get something published, I guess - so I thought she might've been busy with that too..who knows.

It is a great story, and I'll wait and hope that she updates it.
Whatever it is,  I wish her all the best and hope to read from her soon!  :)

I have devoured all of her writing, and have recommended it to many friends and members of the imdb board.  I keep checking for the next chapter in TCJ.
We all need to remember she is a professional writer, and has deadlines and stories to do to earn a living.  What she is doing for us is a labor of love.

Thanks madlori for the love.....

I'm up to chapter 9 on "Human Interest".  If this were made into a movie, who do you see playing Liz?  I keep seeing Jami Gertz (a la "Twister") or Julia Roberts...

Not Julia Roberts, I don't picture her as that pretty or that tall. Julia Stiles, maybe?
