Laurel Canyon. Yes, it was "light but good" as you mentioned, friend Katherine. I actually thought the best performances were turned in by the supporting actors. I was a little disappointed in Fran McDormand's performance (I thought she overacted...if I were in her situation, I would not have had any angst...I would have been going "I am the luckiest damn woman in the whole wide world!!") and it was not a stretch for Christian Bale either. . . but the most exciting part was meeting the cinematographer,
Wally Pfister. His cinematography credits include Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige, and...The Dark Knight!! He talked for about 40 mins and I could have listened to a couple of hours more. . . but there was another film scheduled, so we had to vacate the theater.
