You know that song I sent you last week .. "Cows May Come, Cows May Go, But the Bull Goes on Forever" ... I'm finally getting to hear it right now... What do you make of it?

Irving Berlin's other stuff - Blue Skies, Easter Parade, Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better, Always, Marie, Heat Wave, Change Partners, Doin' What Comes Naturally, I've Got my Love to Keep Me Warm ... and he lived to the ripe old age a 101! - and He was a crusty, mean old man fer his last 30 years.

He dies in 1989

I haven't heard that song yet. we had a thunderstorm last week and I had unplugged this computer. Today is the first time I have had it on in more than a week.

Occasionally, I can see the answer given is correct before the confirmation from j.U.d.E. but usually I'm just in a fog!

It was recorded by Ella Fitzgerald in the 40's(?) and apparently Rod Stewart's recorded it lately ...here are some of the lyrics:

Well, I just listened to a 1925 version of the song by the biggest artist of the 1920's and it sounds Sooo "roaring 20's" - it's an instrumental (1925 version) I haven't heard a lot a roaring 20's sound in the 1920's music - songs like "We're in the money" & "The Original Charleston"

This was a fun find!
