Hiya BetterMost friends.
I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! It's sunny and a little warmer here, I'll be going on for a walk soon.
Today's mail delivered a surprise to me from Bochum, Germany.
I received a card from the Bochum Brokies on their recent trip.
Here is the outside of the card.
First thing I noticed was the picture of the stamp in the upper right corner of a balloon.
For those who have not followed the story in the thread about the Germany trip, I was teasing everyone, asking them to get me German music star Nena Kerner's autograph.
Nena Kerner was the lead singer for the group Nena, who had a #2 pop hit here in 1984 called "99 Luftballons" (in Englished it was titled "99 Red Balloons".
I opened the card to see this, and immediately burst into laughter.
the message reads:
We're not Nena, and it's only one red balloon, not 99, but we're thinking of you and you get all of our signatures.

Uli (Whenever I see Nena on German TV I think of you)
