Hiya BetterMost friends.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!  It's sunny and a little warmer here, I'll be going on for a walk soon.  ;D

Today's mail delivered a surprise to me from Bochum, Germany.  ;D  I received a card from the Bochum Brokies on their recent trip.

Here is the outside of the card.

First thing I noticed was the picture of the stamp in the upper right corner of a balloon.  ;D  For those who have not followed the story in the thread about the Germany trip, I was teasing everyone, asking them to get me German music star Nena Kerner's autograph.

Nena Kerner was the lead singer for the group Nena, who had a #2 pop hit here in 1984 called "99 Luftballons" (in Englished it was titled "99 Red Balloons".

I opened the card to see this, and immediately burst into laughter.

the message reads:

We're not Nena, and it's only one red balloon, not 99, but we're thinking of you and you get all of our signatures.

Chrissi  :P
Dawn (Still Learning)
Sophia
Kerstin
Uli (Whenever I see Nena on German TV I think of you)
Berit
Fabienne
Lynnie (See you soon Chuckie!  Much love)
Kelda (Sending you sparkles!  Love)
Monika (Saying Hello to Nena from you)

Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say: ''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

Hiya BetterMost friends.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!

;D

Mom and Dad had to get some shopping done, so I took care of lunch today.  ;D  It felt good to cook some Italian food.

Weather is beautiful here, and I am going for a walk in a few minutes.

Hiya Mandy, and yes, I thought the card was very sweet!  I laughed out loud when I saw the red balloon.  ;D

Hiya BetterMost friends.

Well, here we are, back at Monday.  Ugh!

 >:(

I hope that everyone is well!!

Today's travel destination:

The Skagit Valley - Washington, USA

The rich farmland of the Skagit Valley is some of the most prodcutive in the Northwest, and the most beautiful crop by far is the spring bulbs.  Visit in the next few weeks and drive or bike through endless acres of daffodils, tulips, irises, and lilies.
