Your chat about Ricky Nelson got my attention. According to the site linked below he had four kids in total. Tracey, Matthew, Gunnar and Sam Nelson. All with the same woman, Kristin Harmon.

Wow. I've heard of both Nelson, the band, and Ricky Nelson, but never knew they were related!

Weather report from Chicago: This morning when I got up it was 9 below. The predicted high is 1 f'in degree -- oops, I mean, 1 degree F. In the sun, it feels maybe 10 degrees above absolute zero. The main floor of our house is cold enough to turn a cup of coffee undrinkable within five minutes, while the upstairs is so hot it makes me lightheaded. Yesterday morning, the pipes were frozen and there was no water. My car wouldn't start.

Remind me again why I don't live in the Sunbelt? Better yet, remind me in August.

YAAA!    Connecticut is famous on TV twice this week!

Earlier it was divulged that Homer Simpson was born in Connecticut.   So now it is speculated that the fictional Springfield in the TV show could be nearby Springfield, Massachusetts.

I rec'd my pay statement in the mail today.   

Brings new meaning to the expression "My take home pay wont take me home"

First pay period reflects the annual cost of living adjustment.    $14.61 per week extra.   Before taxes of course.

Somehow I think my boss  (George W.Bush) and I have a different concept of the cost of living.

Damn we need a Democrat in office!

I grew up in Bayport, NY and if folks remember, the Hardy Boys lived in Bayport. Although the description of their Bayport didn't read anything like the town I grew up in.
